To push for 'Facebook Cop' or not to?

It is actually good sign that police are actually putting in efforts to prevent or stop facebook crimes after the case of a teenager, being murdered by facebook attacker. It is said that they are planning to appoint a dedictaed officer to look out for, or catch those who are involved in criminal activities...

However, I feel that it is not easy to do so. Facebook,is a social network that is used by billions and trillions of people. It is a social network that is opened to people living in all different states and countries. It would be hard for police officers to track criminals from all over the world...

As a facebook user myself, I have several encounters where by people whom i don't know, actually added me on Facebook. These kind of situation actually happened to many others out there too....In these type of situations, it is actually rather okay for one to accept the friend request. However, If the person start to chat or talk to you on facebook chat, one should actually be on your guard. One should refrain from revealing personal information to the other party as you are not aware of their real background. They may look young and appealing in their profile picture, but in actual fact, they may not.

Looking at the case where the 18 year old,Miss Nora Belomesoff got murdered. That Facebook attacker, used the same tatic to lure Miss Nora out and killed her. He displayed a fake facebook profile to get to know Miss Nora and take the chance to attack her....

Apart from this murder case, there are also other cases like stalkings and grooming people for sexual activities etc....

Thus, it is important for all teenagers out there to deveop a sense of self-awareness, so as to prevent themselves from falling into the trap of Fackbook attackers. As for the police, they may conduct talks, put on advertisements to remind all facebook users the importance of being vigilant at all times. Thus, I would strongly urge all Facebook users to keep control of their personal information , to prevent such cases of murder from reoccuring.....
